Delmar Christmas Parade – “Weather”

We are monitoring the weather forecasts. IF…..IF the parade needs to be postponed to the 17th, we will post that information here. We will also post the information on Facebook on our event page as well as our Chamber page. We will also email all of the entrants. We expect to be able to make the determination whether to postpone or continue by 10am Saturday morning. IF….IF we need to postpone, the entrants will be notified FIRST, then we will do the posts. We will not have time to answer calls, emails and posts in the morning, because we will either be busy getting ready for the parade, or be making the notifications of postponing it. We appreciate your patience and understanding. It’s just not easy to cancel/postpone an event, considering all the work that has been done, and will have to be redone.

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting

Please join us in welcoming Delmarva Storage Solutions to Delmar!  The Chamber will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony during their Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, May 29th at 1:00 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.   They are conveniently located on Old Stage Rd. in Delmar, DE.  (Behind the Delmar Commons Shopping Center).

2019 Delmar Christmas Parade

The Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be sponsoring the Delmar Christmas Parade again this year!

The 2019 Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th at 2 pm.  The rain date is set for Sat. Dec. 21st.

Line up for entrants will be on the Delaware side of Pennsylvania Avenue. 

The parade will start there and run down State Street all the way up to 8th Street and end at the Delmar Jr./Sr. High School.

The judges stand will again be located at the corners of State Street & Bi-State Blvd.

If you would like to participate in the parade, please contact us for a parade application.  Entry is FREE.

You can obtain an application by calling 302-846-3336 (our voicemail line) and leaving your name and address so we can mail to you, or by emailing the Chamber at infochamber@comcast.net.  

We will also be adding a link for downloading the application very soon.
